Coverslip Aminosilanation and Arraying Protocol

This protocol prepares the coverslip glass surface, ensuring that it is uniformly aminofunctionalized for subsequent covalent coupling to the amine terminated / BS3 prepped, amplified beads, while eliminating any fluorescent contamination. The coverslip is then bonded to the flow cell body, and the suspended beads are pipetted into the individual wells, where they are allowed to couple. The flow cell is then flushed to remove any unattached beads.

Dover Systems now supplies flow cell kits that include amino-functionalized glass coverslips. Users can accordingly skip this protocol by simply purchasing our standard flow cell kits.
